"Very rude bar staff but he forgot to add our drinks to the bill so that was great!! My friend and I ordered the same steak but they were clearly two different types of steak. Mine was full of fat and I couldn't eat half of it whilst her's was lovely and lean. Not fair :-( We used to love eating in the old Chez Gerard and we cried when it closed down. "My starter of mushroom and poached egg was completly cold and the mushroom was TINY!! I thought that this was the way it was meant to be so I didn't complain at the time, However i was talking to my friend who also had the same starter on a different occasion and she said her's was hot and her mushroom was very big! "The service was very slow and an apology only came for this when the main courses arrived. As we were in a group obviously out for lunch from work I would have expected to be warned of the wait for food up front. The waiting staff were very obviously new and did not know the menu at all.
