and double bass player Amy LaVere. Emerging from her adopted
hometown of Memphis, she has been compared to a rootsier,
more dangerous Norah Jones. Her concerts are a showcase
of a moody distillation of traditional country, artful rock
and cool jazz sang in a light, slightly bluesy soprano.
